If you really think that Americans are all that stupid, then you have seriously misread, miscalculated, and under-estimated us. Our education as a broad spectrum is declining, but our education in terms of specification is hard to beat. In other words a guy over here who is an IT professional isn't as good at history, but he is the cutting edge at computers.
